When I moved in my room in Princeton it was smelly, dirty, old and I thought "this does not match my image of Princeton."
I had an interesting chat with my shuttle driver and two Iranian PhD students on the way to Princeton from Newark airport. One of them laughed saying how philosophical conversations often happen in the back of taxi cabs in Iran.
We made in the middle of the night, got our keys from the security office, then I asked for the campus cops to drive us to our apartments. We have way too much stuff, it gets so dark here, and I was gonna a 3 mile walk or so.
I have four classes right now.

I've met all kinds of really good people. Joined a soccer team, the east asian studies club "cracked pot," and my Religion Dept cohort meets every week. I am took a part-time job in the Department. Very happy PhD student. : )
